These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Scripture Drops website, applications, and daily devotional delivery service (collectively, the “Service”) operated by Helpy Media inc., a company incorporated in Quebec, Canada (“we,” “us,” or “our”).
By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. Overview of the Service
Scripture Drops is a daily audio Bible devotional service. We generate devotional content in English and French using artificial intelligence, convert it to audio, and deliver it to subscribers via Telegram and, where enabled, WhatsApp or other configured delivery channels at their preferred time and timezone.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority in your jurisdiction, to create an account and subscribe to a paid plan. Family Plan and minor-account features are not offered in V1.
By using the Service, you represent that you meet these eligibility requirements.
3. Account Registration
To use the Service, you must create an account through our authentication provider (Clerk). You are responsible for:
- Providing accurate and complete registration information.
- Maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.
- All activity that occurs under your account.
You must notify us immediately at legal@helpymedia.com if you suspect unauthorized access to your account.
4. Plans and Pricing
4.1 Free Plan
After your trial period ends, if you do not subscribe to a paid plan, your account will be automatically downgraded to the Free Plan. The Free Plan includes a shortened daily devotional delivered via Telegram or another configured delivery channel. The Free Plan does not include audio narration, full-length devotionals, or premium features.
4.2 Personal Plan
The Personal Plan is available at $4.99 USD per month. It includes full daily devotionals with audio narration in both English and French, customizable delivery times, and listening history.
4.3 Family Plan / Minor Features
Family Plan and minor-account features are not offered in V1. We will update these Terms before offering any family or minor-specific features.
4.4 Price Changes
We reserve the right to change our pricing at any time. If we change the price of a plan you are subscribed to, we will notify you at least 30 days before the change takes effect. The new price will apply at the start of your next billing cycle after the notice period. If you do not agree with the price change, you may cancel your subscription before the new price takes effect.
5. Free Trial
5.1 Trial Period
New accounts receive a 14-day free trial of the full paid experience (Personal Plan features). During the trial, you have access to all premium features without charge.
5.2 Trial Expiration
At the end of the 14-day trial, if you have not subscribed to a paid plan, your account will be automatically downgraded to the Free Plan. No charge will be made unless you actively subscribe.
6. Billing and Payment
6.1 Payment Processing
All payments are processed by Stripe. By subscribing to a paid plan, you authorize Stripe to charge your payment method on a recurring monthly basis. You agree to Stripe's terms of service in addition to these Terms.
6.2 Billing Cycle
Subscriptions are billed monthly on the anniversary of your subscription start date. Your payment method will be automatically charged at the beginning of each billing cycle.
6.3 Failed Payments
If a payment fails, we will notify you and may attempt to charge your payment method again. If payment remains unsuccessful, your subscription may be suspended or downgraded to the Free Plan.
7. Cancellation and No-Refund Policy
7.1 Cancellation
You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account dashboard or Stripe's customer portal. Upon cancellation:
- Your paid subscription will remain active until the end of the current billing period you have already paid for.
- After the current billing period ends, your account will be downgraded to the Free Plan.
- You will not be charged for any subsequent billing periods.
7.2 No Refunds
All payments are final and non-refundable. When you cancel, you retain access to paid features through the end of your current billing period, but no partial or prorated refunds will be issued for any reason, including:
- Unused time in a billing period.
- Dissatisfaction with the Service.
- Failure to cancel before a billing cycle renewal.
7.3 Account Deletion
You may request deletion of your account by contacting our Privacy Officer at privacy@helpymedia.com, or manage your personal information through your account dashboard. Account deletion is permanent and cannot be reversed. If you have an active paid subscription, cancellation of the subscription must occur separately before or at the time of account deletion. No refund will be issued for any remaining time on a paid subscription upon account deletion. For how we handle your personal information when you delete your account, see our Privacy Policy.
7.4 Your Statutory Rights (Quebec Consumers)
Nothing in this Section 7 or in these Terms limits or excludes any right or remedy you have as a consumer that cannot be waived under the Quebec Consumer Protection Act or other applicable consumer-protection law. Where such law gives you a right that conflicts with the no-refund or other provisions above, that law prevails to the extent of the conflict.
